I'm a poet. My grandmother was from Ireland, and she wrote poems. My mother wrote poems. I've always written poems, as far back as I can remember. When I was a child, I would happily pen all the poetry homework assignments for my friends! Then, in 1996, I wrote a poem titled, "The Dash." It was read on a syndicated radio show and my whole life changed.
My poems have now been published in major publications, countless newspapers, read on TV shows and radio, appeared on CNN, FOX, PBS, and more major stations. The Dash itself has been tattooed on arms and backs and has created its own movement. It has its own park in Wisconsin, and was even read live on the air to the President of the United States "and distinguished guests!"
One million book sales and countless poems later, I am still writing, speaking and inspiring!
Live Your Dash!
